Conveniently tucked between the Valle Verde suburbs and the yuppie-littered Ortigas Center, Uncle Moe’s has become the default response to stress-driven after-work binges, post-night out munchies and any other excuse to stuff ourselves silly with shawarma or kebab. By the power of the almighty all-chicken shawarma, Uncle Moe's has managed to pluck itself out of obscurity and into the list of penultimate Mediterranean must-trys in these parts.

First things first, this is not a venue to wax philosophical about our gastronomic experiences. Neither is this a shameless attempt to score free meals in exchange for food raves (okay, maybe just a smidge). We're just a pair of average joes who love to eat. And in the spirit of generosity, why not chronicle all our food adventures (and misadventures) for the benefit of all other average joes? It's the least we could to rationalize the twenty or so pounds that we've gained as a result of our food trips.
